
Shaketia Sills, a Philadelphia native, currently works as a Program Director for Southwest CDC’s after-school and summer camp program. Her goals and aspirations are to advocate for education by acting as a bridge to fortify resources and tools to underserved communities. Her most impressive and relevant achievements during Covid 19's tumultuous attack include but are not limited to: supporting virtual learning in several Southwest and West Philadelphia Community schools. This included providing students with activities supporting social emotional learning and literacy. In addition to supporting the Philadelphia school district she also assisted/guided youth ages 12-19 during the pandemic crisis through BOOST’s summer Youth Work Ready program.
